Max Pöschl
Program and product manager for digital experiences.
I connect product strategy, technology, and cross-functional teams to build digital experiences customers actually use.
Product leadership with technical depth.
I lead digital product programs where customer experience,
technology, and organizational delivery have to work together.
My current focus is the myAudi app — one of Audi’s most visible
digital customer touchpoints. I help shape product direction, make
product decisions, align teams and stakeholders, and track whether
the experience performs reliably across global markets.
Before that, I led Audi Digital Twin Business as a greenfield B2B product, worked on rapid prototypes at Volkswagen’s Electronics Research Laboratory in Silicon Valley, built a regional tech community with Hackaburg, and continued hands-on technical work through Xampit.
Current focus
Building the digital companion for Audi customers.
In my current role, I work on product decisions, strategy, and program alignment for the myAudi app. My focus is to bring teams, projects, and stakeholders together so the app can deliver a reliable, useful, and premium customer experience across global markets.
Highlights

Dealer product
Audi Digital Twin Business
Senior Product Manager, AUDI AG New Business Development
AR-supported photo app and web portal for dealerships: standardized, CI-compliant vehicle images, structured vehicle documentation, quality review, administration, reporting, and export into inventory systems and Volkswagen Group marketplaces.
Open Digital Twin Business
- Steered greenfield product development with external iOS, Android, backend, and UX contributors.
- Product scope included AR-guided photo tours, VIN-based vehicle identification, configurable backgrounds, plate inserts, dealer and brand logos, banners, forms, and checklists.
- Owned research, customer feedback translation, user stories, feature prioritization, portal-based review, export workflows, and quality.
- Prepared rollout across seven markets, including technical and legal clarification, support, operations, contracts, roles, and market-specific process configuration.
- Product context includes 37k+ photographed vehicles, 150+ partners, and 10 connected inventory management systems as of March 2026.
Silicon Valley internship
Electronics Research Lab
Intern, Volkswagen Group of America, Belmont, California
Practical semester in Silicon Valley with a broad prototype role across vehicle hardware, backend infrastructure, frontend tooling, real-time data transfer, testing, and research-driven mobility concepts such as Audi Fit Driver.
- Contributed to Audi Fit Driver prototype work: an intelligent mobility concept using wearable and vehicle-sensor data to infer stress or fatigue and adapt the in-car experience.
- Worked across vehicle hardware, backend and frontend software, 3D-printed and laser-cut parts, cabling, real-car integration, testing, and test-drive data collection.
- Built and supported VEB@ERL backend infrastructure, virtual machines, databases, repositories, responsive web tooling, and MQTT-based real-time vehicle data flows.
- Presented Audi mobile key at CES in Las Vegas; the role shaped my rapid-prototyping mindset and was my first sustained exposure to AI, data-driven mobility, and human-machine interaction.
Hackaburg & Ratisbona Coding
Co-founder and long-term organizer of a regional tech community and hackathon. Building bridges between students, companies, developers, sponsors, and the local tech ecosystem for over 10 years.
Xampit
Freelance prototyping, web, IoT, workshops, and open-source work: A hands-on counterpart to my corporate product and program work.
AI & Computer Vision Foundation
Academic and practical foundation in machine learning, deep learning, computer vision, and browser-based AI deployment. Bachelor thesis on vehicle data classification; master thesis on neural networks for automotive image tagging in web applications.
Skills
Product Strategy
I turn customer needs, business goals, and technical constraints into clear product direction. My work covers discovery, prioritization, product decisions, roadmap shaping, portfolio alignment, KPI definition, and trade-off management.
Program Execution
I bring structure, transparency, and momentum to complex initiatives. My experience includes requirements engineering, stakeholder management, dependency management, rollout planning, go-live preparation, KPI reporting, and continuous improvement after launch.
Cross-Functional Leadership
I create alignment between product, engineering, UX, legal, business, external partners, and leadership teams. I help clarify ownership, resolve ambiguity, facilitate decisions, and keep teams focused on measurable outcomes.
Technical & AI Depth
My foundation in software engineering, data, and AI helps me bridge strategy and implementation. I understand feasibility, architecture, quality, and implementation details — from early prototypes to production-facing digital products.
Interests
Community & Open Source
I care about communities where people build, share, and learn together. Event management with Hackaburg and Ratisbona Coding, open-source culture, tech meetups, and hacker events (like Chaos Communication Congress) have strongly shaped how I think about collaboration.
Hands-on Prototyping
I like turning ideas into working artifacts — from small web tools and automation scripts to IoT prototypes, event systems, and AI experiments. Building things myself keeps me close to the technical reality behind product work.
Learning, Storytelling & Design
I've always been drawn to emerging technologies and the question of how they change the way people create, decide, and collaborate. I enjoy making complex ideas easier to grasp — by finding the right story, choosing the right format, and creating touchpoints people can engage with online, visually, in workshops, in presentations, or at events.
Personal
Outside of work, I enjoy a mix of creative, active, and practical interests: music, sports, podcasts, photography, books, and audiobooks. I like exploring new ideas, staying physically active, and capturing moments or perspectives through photography. I am also involved in the local fire department, which is an important way for me to contribute to my community. At home, I enjoy working on automation projects and small technical improvements that make everyday life a bit smarter and more convenient.
